BBQ Shredded Beef

 

Rump roast is a perfect roast for making shredded BBQ to serve as hot sandwiches. It is the most tender roast and cooks easily to the stage of falling apart. Our family does love BBQ sandwiches - especially for a picnic down by the creek.

 

1 3-pound rump roast

Favorite bottled BBQ sauce

 

Cook the rump roast in a crock pot for 8-10 hours on low, OR in a tightly sealed casserole dish at 300 for 4-5 hours. Either way, make sure the roast is falling apart tender before shredding. Shred beef with two forks and add BBQ sauce until meat is well coated in BBQ sauce.

Serve on toasted sesame buns with pickles!
